BIRTHDAY PARTY!!

I threw Nick a surprise party for his B-Day this year. It was a lot of fun and turned out really good. All of my family was there, some of our friends, and Nick's mom and dad were awesome enough to come down for it and help me out with getting it put together.

Nick had no clue I had been planning it. I told his family months in advance about it so they could plan to come down for it, so I thought for sure that it would get out. Nick's dad took him out for the day to keep him out of the house. Colby tried to take him out also, but Nick didn't play along very well. But it turned out really fun! HAPPY BIRTHDAY BABE!!!

The theme of the party was New York. I made some of the awesome food we have eaten in New York. I made chicken from Carmines, hotdogs, pretzels, and candied nuts from the street vendors. Nick made the tiramisu from Carmines. And Brenda made cupcakes from Billy's Bakery in Chelsea. They were so delicious!

Nick noticed that I had bought some lady fingers and marscapone and asked what it was for, so I told him that I thought it would just be fun to make some Tiramisu. So then I asked him if he would make it (He makes the best Tiramisu!), and he did. So he made his own birthday dessert. Ha ha!

Baby J always has to have his arms up either to the side of his head or on his face. There is no swaddling of the arms, he can get out of ANYTHING!!

Jaxon is all ready for the rodeo. We didn't take him since he was only two weeks old, but I still had to get his boots on him. They were waaay to big for him, but still dang cute.

I put these little bags of custom M&M's together in place of the cigar (M&M's are much more delicious). They turned out pretty good.

I have a bunch of pics I didn't get a chance to post before Baby J was born, so I am doing a quick catch up. If the explanations of the pics are boring or don't make sense, that would be because I am posting this in the middle of the night because my "sweet and precious" little boy does not think it would be a really great idea to let his mom get some sleep....ever....good thing he's cute!!!

Baby's Room

We didn't get Jaxon's room done till he was about 2 or 3 weeks old. Which I knew was probably going to be the case. We did have the dresser and the crib assembled just in time, but nothing else. However, if he had waited till his due date we would have had it done. Not to place any blame on anyone (Baby J). :)
Nick putting the furniture together.

TOO CUTE

Village Baby Shower

Nick's awesome co-workers threw us a really fun shower, so much fun in fact, I went into labor right after. I really mean RIGHT after. Pretty funny. We had a great time at the shower, then went home and on came labor.

The really awesome thing about this shower was that Nick got to do all the present opening! I loved that!!! I find it a bit awkward to have people watch me open gifts, so it was really nice to have Nick be the center of attention at this shower.

SHOWER

My really awesome friend Cassie threw me a shower and it was so much fun. She did a really great job putting it together, it was sooo cute! She put flowers in rain boots and hung really cute umbrellas from the ceiling. It was awesome! Thanks Cass!!!!!

These cupcakes were so cute! And delicious!Cassie, the amazing hostess!
Brooke and Carolyn. Sorry it's so blurry!!!!

My mother

RaLinda. Look at her wide awake. I don't usually like to post pictures of her with her eyes open, but this time I didn't have a choice. Ha ha!

JaNene, Katie & Alison. I love these girls!

Natalie & Andrea. Nat's eye's are not open, sorry, I had to have someone with their eyes closed. Love these girls too!

Melea & Kendra. Someone is not focused on the party! Love ya!

Brenda & Megan. I love this pic!!!

Star Valley

Nick and I took one last little trip before Baby J was born. We headed up to Afton Wyoming for a few days. I LOVE it up there! We went up to Jackson Hole for a day and just walked around.

Nick outside of Billy Burger. For those of you who know Jackson Hole probably know Billy Burger, they have delicious hamburgers. However, they are under new management and I have to say I may not go back. Part of the fun of Billy Burger was the atmosphere, more than for the burgers. They have changed their rules and it really isn't much fun anymore. Way to be "fun killers" people!!

Speaking of "fun killers", that little belly on me was a big "fun killer"! This year there was no mountain biking, no horse riding, and no white water rafting. I was a real drag. However, we did hike up to the Geyser. That is always fun!

A bit out of breath

The neighbors dog came over to play frisbee with us. Good thing we found that awesome frisbey at Kings.
Nick shooting, obviously.
Every time we are in Afton we must make a stop into the wonderful Kings store. They have sooo many MUST haves. Nick and I will walk up and down every single isle to make sure we see ALL of the AMAZING items they have for us to purchase. The awesome find this year are these great tapes. Haven't seen these for sale ANYWHERE for quite a while now. Only in Afton will you still find these for sale. I will say though that there was a nice layer of dust on them, so i will give the people of Afton a little credit for not buying them.

On the way to Star Valley we went to Bear Lake this time and stopped and got a raspberry shake. I had been craving one for a while, so I'm glad Freida and Nick allowed me to indulge my craving.

Garden

We decided to try a garden this year. I didn't get any pics of it, but here are some of our tomatoes and peppers. Delicious!!

JAXON IS HERE!!!!

Our little man is here! He has finally graced us with this presence after what has felt like 5 years of pregnacy. I'm not kidding either, it really felt that long to me. But the second I saw him, I decided it was all worth it. Doesn't mean it was fun, but this little guy has proven to me that there can be a good outcome. He has been so much fun. Nick has been the cutest dad I have ever seen!! Not that anyone should expect anything different, but it is so much fun watching him with his "little boy". I love it!

Me loving me new baby boy!!!

My two boys! Love them!!!

Awww...

PEBBLE BEACH

SO. CAL

Nick & I went to Pebble Beach again this year with his fam. But we mixed it up a bit this year. We drove with Mat & Jen instead of flying like we normally do. We left a couple days earlier than the rest of the fam and spent a couple days in Southern Cal. on our way. It was a ton of fun and well worth the drive.

I need to start off with a few pics of Mat because they are hard to come by. Yes, he is strangling Jen for reasons unknown....Sorry Jen, I would never do that to you ;)

On the road!! Jen and I relaxed and napped in the back seat (and I tried not to throw up) while the boys navigated the trek to Cali.

This is us at Manhattan Beach...loved it. There are some great shops, and some AMAZING houses along the Strand. I am pondering what it would be like to live in the huge house on the beach right behind me that you can't see. Then I am being kind enough to share my delicious churro with Jenon the Santa Monica Pier. I love churro's and I don't share them with just anyone. Nick is getting his work out at Muscle Beach, lookin good babe! And Jen is.....loving the California life!

We headed down to the Farmer's Market in L.A. one morning. It was great. We ate at a Crepe stand Mat & Jen love, and it was delicious! However, if anyone wonders if it is possible for two crepes to cost $30, I can tell you that is it is. We were there right during the peak of strawberries, and these things were huge!! Californian's are very selfish and clearly keep all the big delicious ones to themselves and send all the small moldy one's to the rest of the country.

We ate at a delicious Italian Restaurant on Manhattan Beach on one of our trips down there. Nick finally agreed to put me out of my misery after asking him 1000 times to just do it. (From being so sick all the time.) He didn't push hard enough so I could still breath...didn't quite work.

BIG SUR

Once we got to Pebble Beach we knew that we had to some things that we hadn't done yet, so headed down to Big Sur one day. It was a lot of fun, and freezing. The Big Sur bridge is pretty famous, and pretty amazing. The town of Big Sur is different. You really can't see much of it from the road because the huge Red Trees are so thick you really can't see anything beyond the road and everything is built off the road in the trees. Pretty cool.
Along the road there were some places you could stop and hike down to the coast. So we hiked down to a great spot where the waves come crashing up on the granite rocks. It was pretty awesome to watch.

We also headed up to Santa Cruz. Pretty fun place. We went to the boardwalk first, where it was freezing and not really a place for two sick chicks (me pregnant and Jen car sick) to hang out to play all day. But the rides looked really fun....for kids. So then Jen and I came up with a plan to get Nick to drive down town. We had to scheme because no one liked the Boardwalk and wanted to head straight back to Pebble Beach. But Jen and I knew there had to be more to this town....
As it turns out, we were right...as usual. Down town Santa Cruz was pretty fun with a lot of fun shops. It is a real artsy, hippy town, but it was fun to see all the artists out on the street singing and painting.

This is us on a cliff in Santa Cruz, really cool. And on the way out of town we stopped at a little bakery famous for their muffins. They were delicious.

Every morning in Pebble Beach we all walk along the golf cart path to the club house to get morning perks and pasteries at the market. This year I stayed at the house most mornings due to not feeling good. But on the first morning I decided to venture out we almost died from a couple of drunk golfers trying to hit us with golf balls. Mind you it was 9am. Maybe they weren't drunk, but that should be the only excuse for how bad they were golfing. Unless they really were trying to hit us and have really good aim. One ball hit little Semry's stroller, and one almost hit me in the head, and would have if Nick didn't puill me out the way fast enough. The golfers thought it was pretty funny. I'm still not laughing though.

Freida & Kayli out on the rocks along 17 mile drive.

Most nights everyone heads out to the coast to look at the marine life. This is everyone staring at the sea otters. They had a bunch of pups, really cute small, fat and not so cute big.

Easter morning....Freida, Sofi, Semry & Kayli

More of the treks to the market at the club house and to the coast

Darien, Cody & Semry at hole #7. This is the same hole that Darien and Cody had some AMAZING wedding pictures taken.

The awful view from the house. Not fun to look at all.

Nick holding a star fish. They don't feel anything like what I thought they would feel like. Pretty weird little creatures.

Don't jump!!!

IT'S A BOY!!!!!!!!!

We are so thrilled!! We found out just before we headed on vacation to Cali which was awesome because I could look for some sweet boy stuff.

Yeah!

MS WALK '09

We did MS Walk at the end of March with my mom. Nick's fam was down for the weekend and came to support the cause and my mom as well. THANKS GUYS! It was a lot of fun to have a big group of people. This was the first time I had been out and about for a couple months, let alone had any sort of exercise. But I made it and loved it!

I am finally going to try to get caught up on my blogging. No promises that I will get to everything though. An attempt is good enough for me :)

About a month ago we had my family over to the house to celebrate T.J., RaLinda, and Colby's BIRTHDAYS! HAPPY BIRTHDAY guys....a few weeks ago :)
We had a lot of fun!! we made some delicious burger & hot dog sliders. Best idea ever because you don't have to choose which one you have, they are small enough you can have both! Mmm. Then we did a little Easter Egg Hunt for the kids since we weren't going to be here for Easter. Pretty sure they loved it.....they for sure loved the candy!

Thanks for coming fam!!

Update

I haven't been much of a blogger lately, I really have not felt like even being on the computer much. To be honest I really don't feel much like being on the computer right right now either, but I am going a bit stir crazy, and I thought it was time to update you guys as to why I haven't been feeling up to being apart of the blogging world. I have come to find out that being pregnant does not agree with me much. Yip, it's true, it doesn't agree with me AT ALL!! Oh-and I'm pregnant. I am 14 weeks. I am so excited!! I am due the end of September, so I am looking forward to a nice hot summer. But as long as I start feeling well, I don't care how hot is it! I have spent many many days in bed, which is where I am right now because I pushed myself too hard yesterday.
So like I said, pregnancy hasn't really agreed with me. I have been really sick, and I thought I was just being a huge wuss, so I was trying really hard to be tough, which in turn made me even more sick. I was at one of my Dr. visits where I was expecting my Dr. to tell me "buck up, you are pregnant, get use to it" like everyone else around me was thinking. But to my surprise, he didn't think things were going "normal" for me. He was feeling there was something else wrong and immediately started running tests to get to the bottom of it. Turns out I have had two problems going against me the last few months. I have had pancreatitis, which is extremely painful! So I was trying to be so tough while I was in horrible pain because I haven't been pregnant before and didn't really know what is normal and what isn't, especially since everyone who has been pregnant before kept telling me it would pass, it is probably just gas or that they had the same pains. Except my sister-in-law Brenda, she had a feeling there was something else going on. But I also didn't tell many people about my pains because, again, I didn't realize they weren't normal. But I only hope everyone else has "just gas" pains, that would be a walk in the park compared to what I have been going through. Anyway, I was also telling my Dr. about some other symptoms I had been having and he got really concerned. I found out that my poor little heart is not enjoying the pregnancy either. To make this long story short, I am going to Dr. visit after Dr. visit to do different testing to find out everything going on with my heart to make sure it is going to continue pumping for me through the pregnancy. I still have a few more Dr. visits before I know for sure what is going on. But my "little" problems have made me pretty sick and very fatigued. My Dr. has had me cut down hours at work, which I'm pretty positive they aren't too happy about. But it's ok. I can only do what I can do.
So that's the latest with me.
I do have to say AMAZING my husband is!!!! He has been sooo good to me!!! I don't think I can say THANK YOU to him enough. He has done so much for me. I'm sure he wants me to start feeling better just as much as I do so he doesn't have to be my servant any more. Poor Nick! But thanks for everything you are doing for me babe!!! Love you!!!

I finally stole the pics from our trip to Vegas for "O"........

O

Nick & I really haven't been boring lately, I just haven't had the time to tell what is going on with us. And I have been waiting to post this particular post because I have been waiting for BRENDA & RALINDA to post pictures on their blog so I can steal them. (I forgot my camera) However, they have not very helpful, and have not posted any either. :) So here is the post WITHOUT pictures. Boring!

All of us kids got my mom tickets to Cirque Du Soleil for Christmas. So we all took her down to vegas a couple weeks ago. She loved it! I had seen the same show a few years ago, but I slept through half of it, so it was like seeing it all over again. And I didn't fall asleep once!! I was so proud of myself.

So that was my mom's Merry Christmas present!

Four Little Pigs Went to Market

Well, not yet. They are at the farm. We got four new little pigs at the farm. They are so cute....right now. They are still so small. These aren't great pics of them, but it is always dark when ase are down there. We haven't had pigs for many years. I was probably in middle school, or even younger, last time we had some. So I am really excited about them, or mine. Nick and I got one, Colby & Brenda got one, TJ & RaLinda got one, and Brooke & Rowdy got one. I forgot how cute they are!

Bye Nicole

Nicole has left us to work in St. George. Something about not having to drive as far. I don't know. I think it is very selfish. :)
We went out to dinner for her last day with us, and ironically enough, it turned into her Birthday as well. So she got some balloons and ice cream.
We miss ya!
